REID’S STORY
Reid’s passion for policy started when he served for 12 years as a bipartisan staffer for the Alaska State Legislature. This experience provided Reid with expertise in a wide variety of subjects, such as finance, elections, the state procurement process, fisheries and wildlife resource management, criminal justice, and human rights.
In 2020, Reid was motivated to start his own lobbying business, Harris Advocacy, which specializes in natural resources, fisheries and wildlife conservation and management, tourism and economic development, state constitution and statutes, outdoor recreation, healthcare and telehealth, Alaska Native policies, municipalities, transportation, and the energy and technology sectors.

WITH AN ADVENTUROUS SPIRIT…
Reid focuses on creative endeavors when the legislature is not in session. He works as a craftsman, designing and fabricating custom wood furnishings for Aleph Designs. Reid also serves as president for the Juneau Mountain Bike Alliance, a nonprofit he founded in 2009 that aims to inspire mountain bikers, especially young riders, to develop an engaged mountain biking community in Juneau. The volunteer organization has been instrumental in facilitating, building, and maintaining multiple bike trails in the Juneau vicinity.
